Eric Banh is Back and He’s Stirring Up Fresh
Tastes of Monsoon
For the past year, Eric Banh, co-owner of Monsoon, has been on sabbatical in Edmonton, Alberta, to consult on a restaurant project. Now, he’s back in Seattle and he’s eager to shift the winds at Monsoon toward a fresh approach.
Monsoon has always combined homestyle Vietnamese cooking with an urban sensibility and superior ingredients. Banh seeks to re-energize that mission by launching a series of events he hopes will hone the public understanding of the soul of Vietnamese cuisine and broaden the perception beyond pho and salad rolls.
